ACCA and/or ACA Trainee opportunities available for A Level school leavers and graduates. Bursary scheme offered based upon grades 240 UCAS points + Grade B at GCSE for Maths and English. £4,500 over three years. Work for one year at the company before commencing the degree. 5 week paid work experience during Easter and summer holidays. Three years training programme (ACCA) at end of degree.

Graduates and/or A-Level school leavers are encouraged to consider a career in taxation. Most of the local accountancy firms will recruit students with a view to supporting them through studies to qualify as an ‘Associate of the Tax Technicians” (www.att.org.uk) or as a “Chartered Tax Advisor” (www.tax.org.uk). Tax recruits are also sought by certain banks, trust companies and trading companies on the island. The ATT and CTA are qualifications recognised worldwide.

Deloitte & Touche offers ACCA Trainee opportunities for A Level school leavers and ACA Training for graduates. Bursaries are awarded each year to local resident students, as well as work experience, gap year opportunities and Management shadowing. Minimum entry requirements are 260 UCAS points + Grade A or B in GCSE Maths and English with at least a 2:1 degree classification (any discipline) for graduates. Students will be provided with a £1,500 annual bursary with four weeks paid work experience, each academic year.

Ernst & Young offers bursaries each year to locally resident students who are keen to pursue a career in accountancy post university as well as work experience, industrial placements and gap year opportunities. Ernst & Young recruit talented and motivated local A-Level students and graduates to train in accountancy or tax while studying for an internationally recognised business qualification. Minimum entry requirements are 240 UCAS points (A level) and 300 UCAS points (2:2 for graduates).

Three bursaries are awarded each year to local students who have been accepted to their chosen university. Students will be provided with £1500 to go towards the costs of books and other expenses, four weeks paid work experience each year and a mentor to support you through your time at university and when you are in the office. On completion of the student’s degree, students will be offered a full-time training contract.
